wu wei sessions

the art of doing nothing

By using We Wei techniques you can experience the benefits of being completely present with the animals, with the outdoors, and with yourself. We live in a very fast past world and by slowing yourself down you will experience deeper connections.

wu wei private sessions

the art of doing nothing

Our Wu Wei sessions are inspired by the ancient Chinese concept meaning inaction or effortless action. This principle of ‘doing nothing’ is important as it forces an individual to remain grounded and present. Our Wu Wei sessions take this concept and apply it to a horse-human session.

This is a guided session done with the horse at liberty, allowing a client to practice mindfulness and inaction. These sessions offer techniques to promote healing by releasing judgement and expectations by connecting to the present moment.

Try an individual Wu Wei session if you want to practice getting out of your head, and into your body.

  • Getting out of your head
  • promote healing
  • connecting with your body
  • mindfulness and inaction
  • emotional awareness
  • de-stressing

We recommend dressing for the weather and wearing closed-toe shoes.

The art of non-action: To embrace flow instead of effort

You will learn how to do nothing, to recognize its okay it to just be you, be present, be calm. Horses have an excellent ability to just be and we can all learn from them.

Absolutely. Sherrie, a certified FEEL practitioner, will be present during each session and ensure that both you and the horses are comfortable and relaxed. All of our farm animals are friendly and will not cause any harm to you.

No. We encourage our clients to eat before or after the private Wu Wei session.

The Unbridled Discovery Farm is located in Dewdney, BC.

Of course! While many of the sessions will overlap in terms of material the best learning experience comes from repetition and practice with the animals. Practicing a Wu Wei is a technique that requires repitition to really master and experience the benefits.
